Looking back at a commemorative event in my hometown, Kawagoe, in 2012.
I performed the opening act for the “25th Kawagoe Industrial Expo,” which was held to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Kawagoe City’s Municipal Organization.
“Kawagoe” – Tradition and Innovation
The event took place at Kawagoe Sports Park.
To celebrate this significant milestone of 90 years, I delivered a large-scale calligraphy performance at the opening ceremony.
On a massive panel, I painted a bright Red Sun symbolizing Japan and vitality.
Over the sun, I powerfully wrote the name of my beloved city, 「川越」 (Kawagoe).
Weaving the Future
Alongside the main characters, I inscribed the following message:
“Tradition and Innovation”
Kawagoe: A city weaving tradition and a new future, created by a gentle flow.
(伝統と革新 おだやかな流れが織りなす、伝統と新しい未来を紡ぐ街 川越)
With gratitude to the city where I was born and raised, I poured my soul into the brush, wishing for Kawagoe to continue shining as a place where history and the future intersect.

2012年の活動記録です。
地元・川越市が市制施行90周年を迎えたこの年、川越運動公園にて開催された「第25回 川越産業博覧会」の開幕式にて、書道パフォーマンスを披露させていただきました。
わが街「川越」を描く
90周年という記念すべき年のオープニング。
横長の巨大なパネルに、日本の象徴である赤い太陽を描き、その上に力強く「川越」の二文字を揮毫しました。
伝統と新しい未来を紡ぐ
そして、作品全体を貫くメッセージとして、以下の言葉を書き添えました。
「伝統と革新
おだやかな流れが織りなす、伝統と新しい未来を紡ぐ街 川越」
古き良き伝統を守りながら、新しい未来へと進化していく。
そんな川越の姿と、この街に暮らす人々の未来が光り輝くものであるように。地元への深い感謝と祝福の気持ちを込めてパフォーマンスを行いました。
