Looking back at a unique cultural event held in **Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture**.
I performed at “Inorinpic in Chugoku-Shikoku,” an event held at Sunport in front of Takamatsu Station.
Calligraphy x Live Jazz
The performance was a collaboration with Live JAZZ music.
Swaying to the rhythmic and improvisational sounds of Jazz, I brushed the characters 「えんむすび」 (En-musubi).
Written in Hiragana, this phrase means “Tying the Knot” or “Forging Connections.”
It symbolizes not only romantic relationships but also the precious connections between people, and the “en” (fate) that brings us together.
Bringing Buddhism Closer
“Inorinpic” is an event designed to make Buddhism feel more familiar and enjoyable, with the motto “Sharing the connection of prayer with as many people as possible.”
The venue was filled with diverse attractions, including food booths featuring local specialties, a tea corner where visitors could chat casually with monks, and activities for children.
The event also featured a special lecture by the renowned Akihiro Miwa.
Workshop
After the performance, I held an audience-participation calligraphy workshop.
It was a wonderful time connecting with the locals of Shikoku through the art of Shodo.

香川県高松駅前の「サンポート」にて開催されたイベント「いのりんぴっく in 中四国」での活動記録です。
JAZZの生演奏に乗せて
この日のステージは、JAZZの生演奏とのコラボレーションでした。
軽快で自由なジャズのリズムを感じながら、柔らかくも力強く揮毫したのは「えんむすび」の文字。
「お題目のご縁を少しでも多くの方に」というイベントの願いを受け、人との繋がりや良きご縁が結ばれることを祈って書かせていただきました。
仏教を身近に楽しむ
「いのりんぴっく」は、仏教を身近に感じ、楽しんでいただくためのイベントです。
会場には中四国の特色ある食のブースや、お坊さんと気軽にお話ししながら薄茶を楽しめるブースなどが並び、お子様連れでも楽しめる温かい雰囲気でした。
メインゲストである美輪明宏さんの講演も行われ、会場は大きな熱気に包まれていました。
パフォーマンス後には参加型の書道ワークショップも行い、高松の皆様と「書」を通じた交流を楽しませていただきました。
