Brand Collaboration: Exhibition for PARKER “Ingenuity” at Shinjuku Takashimaya

Looking back to October 2012, we revisit a sophisticated collaboration with PARKER, the prestigious British writing instrument brand holding the Royal Warrant.

Celebrating the “5th Mode” of Writing

Following a previous engagement where Chosho Yabe was interviewed for the launch of PARKER’s revolutionary “Ingenuity” collection and calligraphed its cover title, we were invited to participate in a special exhibition: the “Parker 5th New Product Experience Fair.”

The event was held in the bustling Welcome Zone on the 1st floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya, a premier department store in Tokyo.

Theme: “Communication”

At the center of the venue stood a symbolic panel box, showcasing works by selected “young creators who love Parker 5th Technology.” Chosho Yabe was chosen as one of these creators.

Under the theme of “Communication,” she presented an original handwritten piece. The artwork demonstrated how the act of writing—whether with a traditional brush or a state-of-the-art pen—remains a fundamental tool for connecting souls. It was a fusion of historic craftsmanship and modern writing innovation.
