Recognition for “Kawagoe Style”
At the general meeting of the Saitama Prefectural Products and Tourism Association, Chosho Yabe was awarded the “Special Distinguished Service Award.”
This prestigious award is presented to individuals or groups who have made remarkable contributions to the promotion of Saitama’s products and tourism. It serves as a commendation for the long-standing activities of the “Kawagoe Style Club,” a group dedicated to sharing the charm of Kawagoe with the world.
Ten Years of Grassroots Diplomacy
For over a decade, the Kawagoe Style Club has been a driving force in regional revitalization.
- Global Reach: Promoting the food and culture of Saitama and Kawagoe internationally.
- Local Roots: Conducting monthly study groups to deepen our own understanding of our heritage.
While Kawagoe is now recognized as a premier tourist destination, this success is built upon the accumulation of steady, quiet efforts by local merchants and residents. We are deeply grateful to Representative Hibiki, President Yuge, and all members for allowing us to contribute through the art of Shodo. We renew our commitment to serving the “Land of Color” Saitama and “Little Edo” Kawagoe.

「川越style倶楽部」と共に歩んだ10年
この度、埼玉県物産観光協会様の総会にて、「特別功労賞」を拝受いたしました。
この賞は、埼玉県の物産や観光振興において顕著な功績を残した者に贈られるものです。私が所属する「川越style倶楽部」での、10年以上にわたる活動をご評価いただきました。
世界への発信、足元への眼差し
今でこそ、川越は日本を代表する観光地として世界中から注目されていますが、そこに至るまでには、地元の商店街や有志による地道な努力の積み重ねがありました。
川越style倶楽部は、海外での華やかなPR事業を展開する一方で、毎月メンバーで集まり、自分たちの街を深く知るための勉強会を続けてきました。
愛すべき地元「彩の国 埼玉」「小江戸 川越」のために、書を通じて少しでも貢献したい――その一心で続けてきた活動が、このような形で評価されたことを心から嬉しく思います。
牽引役である日疋代表、弓削社長をはじめ、志を共にする仲間の皆様に深く感謝し、これからも精進してまいります。
