Looking back at the autumn of 2018.
On October 13th and 14th, I performed and held a workshop at the “Saitama WABI SABI Grand Festival 2018,” held at Omiya Park.
Selected as a Cultural Influencer
That year, I was honored to be selected as one of the “Influencers” representing the most impactful artists in Saitama Prefecture, alongside renowned Bonsai master Masashi Hirao and Bonsai artist Kaori.
It was a privilege to serve as an ambassador for Japanese culture in such a prestigious capacity.
“Sho-ho” (祥鳳): A Prayer for Happiness
For the main performance, I painted two Phoenixes (Hou-ou) and wrote the characters 「祥鳳」 (Sho-ho).
“Sho” (祥) means a good omen or happiness, and “Ho” (鳳) represents the Phoenix.
I chose this motif as a prayer for happiness to descend upon everyone in Saitama—the performers, the staff, and the audience—and for the event to be a resounding success.
A Backdrop for Music and Art
One of the highlights was seeing my completed artwork used as the stage backdrop for other performances.
It was a deeply moving moment to see artists like Chitose Hajime performing her concert with my calligraphy and painting behind her.
Thank you to everyone who visited. It was a day filled with gratitude, celebrating art alongside my 2-year-old son who came to watch.
【2018年アーカイブ】埼玉 WABI SABI 大祭典：インフルエンサー選出と「祥鳳」
2018年10月の活動記録です。
大宮公園にて開催された「埼玉 WABI SABI 大祭典 2018」にて、書道パフォーマンスとワークショップを行いました。
埼玉を代表するインフルエンサーとして
この年、私は埼玉県で最も影響力のあるアーティストの一人として、盆栽師の平尾成志氏、盆栽家の香織氏と共に「インフルエンサー」に選出いただきました。
埼玉の文化発信の一翼を担えたことを大変光栄に思います。
揮毫：「祥鳳」と二羽の鳳凰
パフォーマンスでは、縁起を担いで「二羽の鳳凰」の絵を描き、その横に「祥鳳（しょうほう）」という文字を揮毫しました。
「祥」はめでたい兆しや幸福を意味します。
埼玉県の皆様、出演者、関係者、そしてご来場のお客様にたくさんの幸福が舞い降りますように。そんな願いを込めて筆を振るいました。
音楽と書の共演
完成した作品はそのままステージの背景として飾られ、元ちとせさんのコンサートなど、多くの素晴らしいアーティストの舞台を彩らせていただきました。
音楽と書が空間を共有し、一体となる光景は、私にとっても忘れられない喜びとなりました。
応援に駆けつけてくれた当時2歳の息子との記念撮影も、良い思い出です。
