Looking back to the spring of 2015, we revisit an inspiring day dedicated to the dreams of teenagers and young adults in Machida City.
“How to Make Your Passion Your Job”
We were invited to the Machida City Lifelong Learning Center to speak at the “Youth Support Project Vol. 2.” The event was designed to encourage young people in their teens and 20s to pursue their career dreams.

The session was divided into two compelling parts:
- Part 1: Ask the Industry Pros: A panel discussion featuring young professionals from the travel, media, and fashion industries, alongside Chosho Yabe. They shared honest insights on what they value in their work.
- Part 2: Chosho Yabe’s Solo Lecture: Titled “How to Turn Your ‘Like!’ into a Job,” Chosho shared her personal journey, the challenges she faced, and the joy of living as a calligrapher.

Opening Act: The Energy of Youth
The event kicked off with a dynamic calligraphy performance by the Yokohama Jogakuin High School Calligraphy Club. Their powerful brushstrokes and youthful energy set the perfect tone for the day.
Standing in front of the next generation, talking about the path of an artist, was a moment of reflection and hope. We believe that passion is the strongest fuel for any career.
