Looking back to 2016, we revisit one of the most monumental projects in our archive, created for a giant in the global financial sector.
The Concept: “One”
We were honored to produce a large-scale calligraphy installation for the lobby of Asset Management One Co., Ltd.. The subject of this massive work is the number “1”.
In 2016, this company was formed through a historic merger, becoming a leading asset management firm in Asia. The character “1” here is not merely a number. It symbolizes unity, the ambition to be number one, and a powerful new beginning. Chosho Yabe channeled these aspirations into a single, breathtaking stroke.
Monumental Scale, Modern Luxury
This piece was designed to be the “face” of the company’s headquarters.
- The Scale: The sheer size of the artwork commands the space, matching the magnitude of the corporation it represents.
- The Design: The powerful black ink interacts with graphic elements of red and blue—the corporate colors—fusing traditional calligraphy with modern corporate branding.
- The Frame: Enclosed in a magnificent gold frame, the piece exudes a sense of prestige, stability, and wealth, perfectly suited for a top-tier financial institution.
This work stands as a testament to the power of art to define a corporate identity, greeting every visitor with a silent yet thunderous declaration of excellence.

統合のシンボルとしての「大作」
アセットマネジメントOne株式会社様のオフィスの顔となるロビーに、巨大な作品を納入させていただきました。描いたのは、数字の「1」です。
2016年は、同社が歴史的な経営統合を経て発足した記念すべき年でもあります。この「1」には、新体制としての「結束（One Team）」、業界の「No.1」を目指す気概、そして物事の「はじまり」という多層的な意味が込められています。
圧倒的な存在感を放つ「金」と「黒」
空間の広さに負けないよう、作品自体も規格外のスケールで制作されました。
- 構成：伝統的な書の背景に、コーポレートカラーを想起させる赤と青のグラフィック要素を配置。「伝統と革新」が融合したモダンなデザインです。
- 筆致：迷いのない一筆は、企業の揺るぎない信念と、未来へと突き進む推進力を表現しています。
- 額装：そのエネルギーを受け止めるのは、太く輝く金色の額縁。ラグジュアリーな輝きが、金融機関としての信頼と繁栄を象徴しています。
訪れる人々を圧倒するその存在感は、単なる装飾を超え、企業のビジョンそのものを体現するモニュメントとなっています。
